Statement - HGC Global Communications Takes Swift Action in Response to Submarine Cable Damage in the Red Sea

HGC Global Communications (“HGC”) has been made aware of a recent incident involving the damage of 4 out of 15+ submarine communications cables in the Red Sea. This is an exceptionally rare occurrence and has had a significant impact on communication networks in the Middle East, albeit with limited influence on Hong Kong.

In light of this situation, HGC is taking immediate measures to mitigate any disruptions for our clients. We have devised a comprehensive diversity plan to reroute affected traffic, ensuring that our clients' communications do not pass through the damaged cables during this period. Our priority is to maintain seamless connectivity and minimize any potential disruptions.

In addition to protecting our own network and clients, HGC is extending a helping hand to those who have been adversely affected by this challenging situation. We understand the importance of uninterrupted communication, particularly during times of crisis, and we are committed to assisting those in need to navigate through this period.

HGC remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality services globally. We are dedicated to upholding Hong Kong's position as an international telecommunications hub. Our goal is to ensure that Hong Kong remains at the forefront of the telecommunications industry, enabling seamless connectivity for businesses and public.
