(Hong Kong, 9 May 2018) - HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC), a fixed-line operator with extensive Hong Kong and international network coverage, and A1 Telekom Austria AG, a provider of a range of fixed-line, broadband Internet, multimedia services, data and IT solutions, wholesale and mobile payment solutions, today announced that they have entered into an IPX-peering agreement. The agreement, signed today during International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2018 in Chicago, is intended to enable mobile network operators (MNOs) and carriers served by the two companies to exchange IP traffic in a secure manner, without traversing the internet.

The IPX-peering agreement strengthens the foundation of our partnership with A1 Telekom Austria AG. We look forward to strengthening our network to providing the reliability and connectivity that end-users demand today.”
