HGC continues global expansion with new Point-of-Presence and offices permeate in Europe and Asia

(Hong Kong, 25 June 2019) – HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC), a fully-fledged fixed-line operator and ICT service provider with extensive local and international network coverage and infrastructure, today announced a new point-of-presence (PoP) in Ireland and the opening of new offices in Dubai and Prague. This is further testament to HGC’s rapid worldwide growth, through the continuous expansion of its footprint in key strategic regions, its extended international network coverage and its global digitalisation strategy.

HGC launches new Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Ireland and strengthens connectivity in Europe

The new PoP established in Ireland underlines HGC’s deep European coverage, adding to existing PoPs in important carrier neutral locations such as London, Frankfurt, Dubai and Marseille.

HGC will be able to further provide network services such as IPLC, GEPL, VPLS, MPLS and internet service for international carriers, OTT service providers and enterprise customers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Customers will now benefit from improved quality of voice calls and data roaming, low-latency connectivity and higher reliability and stability. HGC can expand its on-net coverage to help extend business reach for both service providers and enterprises. It will also support the growing demand for high-quality IP transit services and subsea cable connectivity from global customers that have established their European headquarters or operational organisations in Ireland.

HGC reinforces its global expansion with new offices in Dubai and Prague

To support operator and corporate customers in the Middle East, HGC has set up a new office in Dubai Internet City, a leading-edge hi-tech business park. It is the strategy to expand international connectivity between Dubai and adjacent countries, riding on Dubai’s role as a transit point to East Africa to build closer relationships with carrier and corporate customers with HGC services.

Additionally, HGC has set up a new office in Prague to provide consultancy services, backend operation and technical support for its data, voice and messaging business, and to meet the increasing demand for next-generation communication and ICT solutions.

HGC continues the niche market pioneer strategy in Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)

As an Asia-centric telecom operator, HGC has a strong track record in building fully-meshed and resilient networks to serve international carriers in emerging GMS and Asian countries. New telecom licences acquired and/or regional offices established in markets such as Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand further support growth in the international voice and data business and enable HGC to provide advanced connectivity, cloud services, ICT solution, etc. to satisfy a variety of customer need under the fast-changing market.

Cliff Tam, HGC’s Vice President, Global Data Strategy of International Business, said: “We believe that the continued expansion through new PoPs and offices is a huge long-term boost for our international business. HGC established an office in London in 2010 to operate sales and business development for EMEA, followed by the deployment of PoPs in London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Marseille and Ireland to support the increasing customer demand for data, voice and customised solutions. Through our know-how, experience and global expansion, HGC can establish closer ties with our partners worldwide and be better positioned to provide one-stop international ICT solutions to customers in fast growing markets. HGC will continue to satisfy global requirements for quality, value and reliability and to expand its footprint across continents.”
