HGC Recognised as a Caring Company

Hutchison Global Communications Limited's ("HGC") enduring efforts to care for the community was acknowledged recently, when we received a Caring Company Award from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). This is the second straight year that HGC has received the Caring Company Award.

Over the years, we have made every effort to fulfil our corporate citizenship role by contributing our utmost to the community at large. In 2004, our dedicated Employer Volunteer Team participated in various charity events including Skip Lunch Day, Green Day and Dress Casual Day. The Team also organised a number of community activities such as Birthday Party at Hong Kong Society for the Deaf, Carnival at Buddhist LKS C&A Home, Donation of Electrical Appliances to the Elderly and Health Ambassador Programme for Kindergarten, to name but a few.

The first of its kind in Hong Kong, the Caring Company Award was unveiled in 2002 to foster a caring community spirit through the cultivation of corporate citizenship programmes and strategic partnerships between businesses and the social services sector.
