"Yes TV Plus" Adds New Infotainment Channels
"Voyages" and "Life Channel" to enrich the multi-media platform brought by HGC, PowerCom and Yes TVHong Kong, 5 January 2004 – Hutchison Global Communications ("HGC"), PowerCom Network Hong Kong Limited ("PowerCom") and Yes Television (Hong Kong) Ltd ("Yes TV") jointly announced today the launch of two new channels, the "Voyages" and "Life Channel", which add up to a total of 11 channels on "Yes TV Plus".
"Yes TV Plus", a multi-media platform, now offers sports, regional news, music entertainment TV programmes on PC via broadband Internet connection. Thanks to the open up of the platform earlier, customers of any broadband service provider in Hong Kong are able to enjoy these excitements.
"Voyages" is a round-the-clock channel providing information about traveling to different parts of the world. In addition to its focus on recommending package tours, the channel also brings in the hottest traveling tips and information to users. "Voyages" is in broadcast mode where users can access to their travelogue on PC 24 hours a day.
"Life Channel", broadcasts on interactive PC platform for the first time, consists of a wide variety of positive productions with meaningful and entertaining content such as the TV drama series "Life Angel", cartoon education programme "Speak Better English, Speak Better Mandarin" and community TV programme "TME Life Hotline".
All "Yes TV Plus" users will have access to "Life Channel" utilising the video-on-demand function that allows viewers to stop, pause, rewind and fast-forward when watching the programmes, while "Voyages" will be broadcast round the clock.
